Announcing Our 2025 Charity Partner: Believe Performing Arts

We are thrilled to announce that the chosen charity partner for this year’s West Moors FarmFest is Believe Performing Arts — a heartfelt, local initiative that provides fully funded Performing Arts classes for care-experienced children across Dorset, Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole.

Founded by local teacher Emily Edwards and joined by fellow educator and adoptive parent Lydia Graham, Believe Performing Arts was created out of the clear need for consistent, accessible, and trauma-informed arts education for children aged 6–16 who have been fostered, adopted, or are under special guardianship orders.

At Believe, children gain more than just skills in singing, dancing, and acting. They build life-changing qualities such as:

Confidence & self-esteem
Friendship & teamwork
Social connection & independence
A sense of safety and belonging

The team behind Believe are qualified professionals with decades of teaching experience and specialist training in trauma-informed approaches. Their weekly classes, held at the Allendale Community Centre in Wimborne, are small, supportive, and entirely free for families — ensuring no child misses out due to financial barriers or life circumstances.

As one of the Believe teachers beautifully put it:

“It is a strong ethos of ours to believe in every individual. Whether our students pursue the arts or not, we want them to leave us with stronger self-belief and a sense of belonging.”

This year, up to 20% of all profits from FarmFest will go directly to Believe Performing Arts to help cover their hall hire and ensure these vital classes continue. Your ticket, your coffee, your fun-filled family day – they’ll all help fund something bigger: a safe space for children to grow, express themselves, and believe in who they are.
